The “Last Mile Code” is the brainchild of Last Mile Code Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a novel, innovative, patented technology to manage postal-address quality. This is first of its kind of addressing system across the world. This would help Indian Post to substantially reduce economic loss arising out of wastage from “Undeliverability”. It will also generate additional revenue for Indian Post Services. This application also contributes towards our Hon. Prime Minister’s Digital India Mission.

In India, millions of people share their address multiple times over various communication channels like phone, chat, email, verbal or on paper etc. either for some government work, non government work, guests, auto or cab drivers, pizza or courier person. Complete and correct address with appropriate landmarks does not get communicated every time. This leads to inconvenience  and many times financial losses to both the parties involved.

Last mile code is designed as one stop solution to all the problems associated with incorrect and inconsistent addresses communicated by people.

The Last Mile Code application will convert a lengthy postal address into a 12 digit numeric and unique code called as “LM Code". This code will be generated using a special computer generated logic and it will look like ‘411.030.123.456' similar to an IP address of a computers.

User can create LM Codes using the help from Google Maps, a reference LM Code of neighbour or a complete manual process of selecting everything from state to street. 

LM Code once created, the user of this mobile application can share his LM Code via multiple channels like the LM Code app, sms, email or any social media applications like whats app, hike etc. To maintain the ananomity of user's mobile number, the sms is sent by application using sms gateway and not through users mobile number.

LM Code is for addresses, hence any individual, shop, office, corporates, banks, government and non government organisations can create LM Codes.

Application is available over mobile as well as on desktop. Mobile app is fully functional feature rich application, whereas the computer version has less features compared to mobile app. Both the applications can be used interchangeably. It means, if a user creates LM Codes in mobile app using mobile number then the same can be found on desktop if the user logs in with same mobile number.
